My name is Jim
I am my mothers son , mama raised me and
taught me alot of things. Mom was raised
in the depression . I guess that made her very strong. when she was only 14 she had to work as a housekeeper and live away from her family. she grew up
in hard times , she was a cab driver in WW2. She had 4 children , all of her husbands ended up leaving her . But she raised her family the best she could.
She taught me alot of things, like if you have a roof over you head and have
food and a job, there was no reason that you are not happy, she always told me that Indians don"t cry. A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush.
don"t make a habit if you cannot afford it. don"t thank me I would not do it if I didn"t want to.
When I was about 10 years old she bought a new house on her owne , she was vary proude of that. she was always independent. Most of her life she worked as a waitress.alot of times she had 2 jobs. she was a good waitress,I worked with her one time and seen she was happest helping people , she would make good tips becouse people would see that.
If one of her family was sick or needed help she was there. if someone was in the hospital , she was there.
when her grandchildren were born ,she was there ,it didn"t madder if it was her childrend or her step childrend she
was like a mother hen , she was there.
That what she was like all her life . I don"t think you could have a better mother than I had. i was her baby and she always tryed to spoil me. If you knew mom befor she got old and sick you would know what I am talking about. my brothers and sisters do. I know that.
Jean Robinson was my mama . I can"t say no more.
